Zagreb Rave Flyers: 1992.

Resources from this period are still very scarce, although both G2 and KSET made special design for each evening - the main reason being the fact that flyers were used to enter clubs. Flyers are still mainly xeroxed.

Techno is gettng more and more media coverage (at least two radio shows a week, plus an occasional TV show), so more and more people starded getting involved. In the beginning of 1992, Gjuro 2 opened its legendary techno party event on wednesdays which became more popular than tuesday evenings in Kset with similar music. Dinko Bazadona (later known as DJ ED) played in Gjuro, assisted sometimes with DJ Mary (at that time known just as Miljac:). Curiously, Gjuro was also used as air-raid shelter for buildings nearby, but serbian army was kind enough never to launch an air raid during the party.:) Flyer designs were not impressing. Since there was hardly more than 100 people in Gjuro on those evenings, flyers were just hastily hand written and xeroxed, to be in distribution during a particular evening or in Dancing Bear CD shop. It must be noted that there were one or two bigger parties, one around Jarun lake and other around may in Skuc. I wasn' there, but, according to poster ad, light and sound were brought from Germany. All the flyers here were contributed by Nara.

C.P.T. February 1992.

Very mysterious flyer with no location specified. It might be advertising the mentioned party in Skuc. This was probably the first appearance of now famous Westbam in Zagreb.

Gjuro 2, 29.01.1992.

Typical flyers for this period. They were also used as an invitation to enter Gjuro. Bombastic phrases were normal for that period.

Klub 88, april 1992.

Strangely, Gjuro and Kset were not the only clubs to play techno. Klub 88 was mainly known at that time as gathering place of local thugs and football fans, so the decision to organize a techno party was a brave one. I've never again heard of those DJ's and I don't know how where the parties. Flyers suck, of course, but generally fall into year's average.

Gjuro 2, 10.06.1992.

This was I think the first live act by slovenian artists in Croatia. Flyer sucks, but it's worth noticing that it's done by computer. Note the "BitArt" logo on the bottom - this was probably one of the first works of the guy(s?) which will create many great flyers in the years to follow.
